This year’s rapeseed harvest is fast approaching when it comes to the northern hemisphere. The prospects for the upcoming rapeseed harvest look really good at the moment. The major export markets have already reaped and yields are high.
Of course, there are several factors that come into play when it comes to the market development and not least the price in the coming time. Inventories are generally at a lower level. A good harvest will thus create a better balance in the market mechanisms, as demand is high at present. This probably also means that we are getting closer to a normal RSO (RapeSeed oil) price.
Germany has also reduced its bio-mandate, in relation to how much may come from rapeseed, which reduces overall demand, and in addition, large export markets within rapeseed such as Canada, Australia and Ukraine have a strong harvest. This also applies to Germany, France and Poland, which suggests favorable prices for the biodiesel market in the near future, which applies in particular to the B100 Biodiesel RME Premium.
