Jacob Boldsen has an extensive background in the energy industry. He previously worked at Ørsted (formerly DONG Energy) for 10 years, where he was responsible for managing the balancing of natural gas across Northwestern Europe and later also worked as a gas trader. He then moved to Norlys, where he helped establish a gas trading desk. After five years, he transitioned to a greener energy source: hydrogen. He was hired as an Energy Trader at Everfuel, where he was responsible for closing PPAs and ensuring that the produced hydrogen met the EU’s RFNBO requirements.
In his new role at Biofuel Express, Jacob will be responsible for building a solid portfolio of biofuel suppliers and customers. His responsibilities will also include expanding our business activities across Northwestern Europe and overseeing the ordering and tracking of supplies. Jacob’s extensive experience in the energy sector, coupled with his passion for sustainable energy, makes him a valuable addition to our team.
Jacob himself is enthusiastic about the opportunities ahead, stating, “I look forward to contributing to the green transition through sustainable alternatives to diesel. Additionally, I hope to help steer us all in the right direction towards meeting EU’s climate goals. This will be an exciting journey filled with challenges, but with the highly skilled colleagues I will be collaborating with, I am confident that we will achieve our objectives.”
Outside of his professional life, Jacob is an experienced traveler who has visited nearly 50 countries, immersing himself in diverse cultures and exploring our wonderful nature. He also enjoys playing backgammon, a game that, much like his professional endeavors, requires strategic thinking and foresight.
